For many years I thought coaches were displaced business folk, who needed to pay the bills, and then had a revelation that ended with “I know what I can do; I’ll coach!”
Several years back I changed my thinking and miraculously enough, my results changed too!
Here are 3 reasons why I think getting a coach sooner rather later is in your best interest:
1) Avoidable Mistakes Are Costly: Business moves mighty fast and quite frankly, avoidable mistakes waste precious time and take chunks out of our commission checks. “Winging It” “Learning as you go” can work but having someone guide you (who understands the road ahead) is more effective. It’s kind of like getting in your car to drive cross country from New York to LA. You know you have to head west so you jump in the car and drive. Chances are pretty good that you’ll get lost, get aggravated but eventually you’ll figure it out or . . .
You could save a lot of time and B.S. by using your G.P.S.
2) You Need Someone To Kick Your Ass! I love sales people, but having been one for over 30 years, I can tell you that our egos, have us believing that we’re far better than we actually are. There are also too many that love to cite sales techniques as “common knowledge” or “Sales 101” and they typically go unchallenged. A coach (or at least one that cares more about YOU than your money) will call you out on that stuff and make you, wait for it, wait for it;
Actually DO IT! Which segues nicely into . . .
3) You Need Someone To Hold You Accountable: How many times have you wanted to prospect but didn’t, or try a new idea but kept procrastinating?
Reality check in 3,2,1 . . .
Our lives are full of those moments and they have this nasty way of adding up!
A good coach will set action items with you (I prefer to have my clients set their own) and then hold you accountable!
Just the mere thought of having to face someone who holds you accountable will help you accomplish more.
All those free blogs, webinars, podcasts, etc that we all partake in. WON’T help us with the EXECUTION part so . . .
It stays in our inbox or a notebook or “committed to memory” . . .
NEVER to be acted upon!
As I look back on my career, I’d say the single biggest mistake I made was failure to take on a coach, earlier in the process.
As a result, I could write the book on stupid mistakes, and my journey towards greater success took much longer than it should have!
If you’re not getting the results that you were hoping for this year;
Click on this link and take a look at my one on one coaching program.
I’m going to tell you, flat out, that my program might NOT be a good fit for you!
In fact, here’s what one of my coaching clients (Pete Primeau) recently said;
“Paul isn’t for everyone. If you are extremely sensitive, Paul isn’t your guy. But if you’re willing to challenge your old habits, and really work to implement new action items, Paul will make you a better boss and a better salesperson.”
Note: You can read Pete’s full testimonial by visiting my LinkedIn profile.
My approach to coaching and my style are very different and quite frankly my fees might NOT fit your budget.
That’s why I’d like for you to take the first step and see for yourself by clicking HERE.
Once you do that, and if you think there might be a match, email me (paul@yoursalesplaybook.com ) and let’s set up a FREE 20 minute call to see if this is something that would work for the both of us.
And please know that;
I’d be honored to help you reach (and exceed) your goals!
