The Biggest Lie You’ve Been Telling Yourself

As we all prepare and begin implementing our 2019 goals, we need to mindful of the biggest lie many of us have embraced at some point;

“I’m too busy”

“I’m too busy to prospect”

“I’m too busy putting out fires”

“I’m too busy with year end”

“I’m too busy with the holidays (whatever the f*ck that one means)

And my personal favorite . . . 

“I’m too busy to learn”

Truth be told, you AREN’T too busy you’re just clinging to a convenient out.

You embrace your “busyness” so you DON’T have to do something else.

I’m dead serious because let’s face it;

If you were REALLY committed to something;

You’d find a way instead of an excuse.

10 years ago (On November 24th) I began blogging.

I was a Vice President at the time and the only person supporting 800+ sales reps with training.

That would have been a great excuse NOT to blog but;

Instead of an excuse, I considered this my “night job” and EVERY night after 9:00 pm, I blogged, built my LinkedIn network, etc.

But, I’m far from perfect, and I too, have played the “I’m too busy card”.

So as you get cranking on your 2019 goals (as in NOW and none of that “I’ll get going AFTER January 1st” crap),

Make a note to start making the time for the things that will IMPACT your goals because;

You’re never going to wake up and say “Holy smokes, I have the time to do that today”.

Make the time!
