During a virtual training event last week, a sales manager asked a really blunt question.
Before I tell you what it was, you need to know something about this sales leader.
She is easily THE most caring manager I’ve ever worked with.
Her team not only loves her but would march into the depths of hell for her.
She has done more to support her team during this pandemic than most of the leaders I’ve come across.
At the end of our training, we recapped what we learned, and the action items we all agreed to do.
This next part is pure gold . . .
The sales manager asked a rhetorical question.
She framed the question by talking about the pandemic and how hard it’s been for the team.
Then she said the following;
“I want each and every one us to ask What Am I Going To Do About It?”
I love this question because it cuts through the bullsh*t, and quite frankly, I believe so many people are so busy blaming the pandemic, that they’ve forgotten to focus some energy on what they’re going to do about it.
What are YOU going to do about it?
Some of you continue to take a “wait and see” attitude and yet, we’re 8 months in!
