Some sales reps are about to experience a %16.5 to 25% loss of their productivity.
How?
By simply joining their prospects and clients in the “mental checkout” that occurs, from July until September, and in other cases, as early as right after Memorial Day.
In anticipation of the “summer blow off” (“Call me back after summer”), I began picking up the pace a few months back but . . .
It doesn’t mean that you can’t do it NOW.
Look at your hunting activity, and look for opportunities, to increase it, substantially, over the next several weeks.
Aside from increasing the amount of “cold calls” . . .
Speak with at least 3 of your LinkedIn connections each week so you can begin to develop warm leads.
Send out more mailing pieces (with a handwritten note)
Send out more FedExs
More email blasts
Use more of your creativity to capture a prospect’s attention
Attend more networking events and make it a point to meet more people while you’re there
Ask for more referrals
Increase the amount of client meetings, lunches etc
Oh, and while you’re meeting with a client, when was the last time you did a good, thorough, needs analysis?
Host more events (webinars, seminars, lunch and learns, open houses etc)
Put out more content (LinkedIn Publisher, Medium, Free Reports (Click HERE to see my most recent one), Blog Posts, YouTube Videos, Tips and Suggestions Via Your Social Networking Status Updates
Spend more time learning new ideas that can help you sell more
Some of this is being accomplished during my weekends (while my family sleeps)
Some of this is being done after hours (instead of watching TV)
Some of this is getting done before hours (I’ve been getting up 30 minutes earlier each day)
But here’s the point . . .
More activity NOW, will give you MORE momentum going into the summer season.
