On one hand I love the holidays, on the other hand the slackers are going to run rampant and that affects my business.
Let me define “slacker” for you.
I don’t mean someone who’s human enough to slow down and enjoy the holidays.
I’m referring to the type of person who once Thanksgiving hits, starts with the “call me back after the holidays” blow offs.
And I’m also talking about the type of sales person who will milk a 30+ day sabbatical out of something that should be a week at best.
Why?
Because they feel nobody takes meetings and nobody buys so they just check out!
News Flash: The Holidays Weren’t Just Invented!
You know they’re coming and yet, what are you doing about them?
One suggestion would be to make sure you’re all over your prospect outreach right now and for the next several weeks.
Keep up on the calls, the emails, the snail mail and Fed Ex.
Keep up on the social networking and creative approaches.
Keep up on the content that you put out there to position yourself as an expert.
And when you’re done “keeping up” pick up the damn pace before the deafening sound of the grinding halt in a few weeks!
And don’t just say “Sounds like a good idea” Schedule it!
And if you don’t schedule it
And you don’t keep up on your appearances then remember to say . . .
AMEN because all you’ll have is a holiday prayer instead of a pre holiday game plan!
