I asked a question on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter and was totally shocked by the consensus!
I asked;
“Will you change your sales tactics in the fourth quarter?“
Over 90% gave me a variation of “No!”.
While I haven’t dug deeper into why they feel that way, I’m incredibly troubled by that response in a year where our world was turned upside down!
Even if you had an amazing year in sales this year;
The fourth quarter is an opportunity for you to LEVERAGE things like;
Decision makers needing to use up their budget.
Decision makers looking to stretch their budget so they can make it to year end.
Decision makers creating their plan for the new year.
Decision makers looking to finish 2020 STRONGER!
There are also seasonal messaging tactics you can leverage.
Those messaging tactics can be fun, informative, and certainly both, but;
It’s a wonderful opportunity for you to change up your messaging and stand out.
Aside from LEVERAGING the fourth quarter, you’ll need to;
Gently tighten the leash on your deals to keep them moving forward, and from stalling out in the old;
“Call me back after the holidays” fashion!
You’ll need to get better at walking away from a deal that’s going nowhere fast.
Now, more than ever, you’ll need to manage;
HOW you’re spending your time.
Not just because it’s the fourth quarter;
Because there are days, long weekends, and weeks that will be lost to holidays.
And let’s not forget about the mental checkout that begins anywhere from the end of November, to the second week in December, and lasts until the first week in January!
You’ll need to get better at managing interruptions, time wasters, and things that pull you away from;

Growing Accounts
