Whenever you write a blog post that mentions “One of the most important things for sales reps to be thinking about right now”, you open yourself up for people saying things like “Shouldn’t sales reps be thinking about how to best serve their clients?”
So let’s all agree that figuring out the best ways to serve our clients is at the top of the list, but even still;
There’s something that isn’t going away any time soon, and you really need to figure out HOW to best handle it.
Ready?
It’s pandemic related stalls, particularly;
“Let’s revisit this again AFTER the pandemic.”
You might feel you have a good response to that, but today, I want to invite you to take a much deeper look by answering a simple question.
Carve aside some thinking time and give this question a go;
What are some compelling reasons to meet now/buy now?
I would also think about marrying in some timely reasons that center around year end or perhaps the start of 2021 if applicable.
Once you come up with (hopefully) several compelling reasons to meet now/buy now, craft at least 3 responses to “Let’s revisit this again after the pandemic”.
Don’t stop there . . .
As part of your answer, offer “evidence” like offering a testimonial or reference of someone your solution (and you) helped during the pandemic.
You can also offer;
Facts, statistics, stories, case studies, examples, “before and after” photos, etc.
But wait, there’s more . . .
Once you do this, teach it to your sales team (the best way to learn is to teach) and have a discussion around the action items mentioned in today’s blog post.
Compile everyone’s answers into a shared document so everyone can have a makeshift “playbook” at the ready!
